A: Information about your pending application/s can be found at: http://www.whois.eu/ Please use this regularly as it will update when they receive your evidence, and when the status of your application changes. Q: Documentary Evidence A: During Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the .EU Sunrise you must support your application for a .EU domain name with documentary evidence. There are strict rules as to who to send your evidence to, how it is to be formated, when it is to be sent by, and what you should send. Failure to abide by EURid's documentary evidence rules will result in your application either expiring or being rejected. Q: When is the deadline for submitting evidence? A: The deadline for submitting your documentary evidence is 40 days from the date of application to Eurid. Your supporting documentary evidence must be RECEIVED by PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) within that time or your application will expire. Q: Where can I find the Cover Page for my evidence? A: When you send your documentary evidence to PWC you must include a special cover page. A link to the cover page is within the email you will have recieved from Eurid when your application was submitted. If you have not received the informational email from EURid you can retrieve the cover page for your application by visiting the EU Whois. http://www.whois.eu/ Enter your domain name, then click the magnifying glass "Details" icon. At the bottom of the page containing the detail of the application is a link "Download Cover Page". Click this link and enter your EURid application ID. If you do not have your EURid application ID please enter a support request at: http://support.freeparking.co.uk/ Q: What Documentary Evidence is required? A: The documentary evidence required by EURid and PWC to support your prior right to a domain name depends upon which Phase of the sunrise you are applying for, and what your status is (ie Registered Trademark, Family Name, Company Name etc). Please read the Sunrise Rules located at: http://www.eurid.eu/en/shared/documents/sunrise_rules_v1_0.pdf Furthermore, rules as to legal rights vary from country to country so you must also follow Annex 1 of the Rules which is located at: http://www.eurid.eu/en/shared/documents/annex-1/annex_1_v1_0.xls Q: How and to where do I send my Documentary Evidence? A: The validation will be carried out by PriceCoopersWaterhouse, their website contains all the information you need regarding their very strict rules about documentary evidence and is located at: http://validation.pwc.be/ Please be sure to carefully read their FAQ's located at: http://www.pwc.com/Extweb/service.nsf/docid/F71DB866895D3FD980256FA2002DE305 Q: Special Note about Family Names A: Quote from EURid regarding Family Names documentary evidence: "Family names, unless they happen to be a company name, trade name, business identifier or any other predefined category, should be applied for in the category “Other”. In terms of documentary evidence it is what it stated in the Sunrise rules section 12. In short that means that an affidavit signed by a competent authority, legal practioner or professional representative, is needed with a reference to a relevant law which provides protection for the name in question and proof that the applicant is the holder of that right and fulfills whatever conditions are required in that law. This means that only sending in a copy of a passport or an identity card is not enough. Section 7 of the Sunrise rules also mentions family names and refer to section 2."
