To change your settings back to freeparkings forwarding service you must log into http://host.freeparking.co.uk go to My Websites and click the icon with the red X. this will cancel the site from the host servers. Next you must log into http://freeparking.co.uk and go to: My Domains drop down tab Maintain a Domain Manage Your Own DNS Zone File Reset Zone file to default settings. Then to setup your web forwarding: Next you must log into http://freeparking.co.uk and go to Maintenance Edit Active Domain Name Properties Use Web Forwarding Update Now Please note that once the free hosting trial is canceled, you cannot have another free trial for this domain. Q: My domain is not forwarding to my website A: To use our web forwarding redirection you will need to set the DNS to default settings using DNS manager rather than have the domain pointed at another IP address. A: You can set properties for the TITLE, DESCRIPTION and KEYWORDS tags for your Domain Name via the "Edit Domain Name Properties" in the Maintenance page of the Freeparking members area. Q: I can't see my favicon.ico file. A: From what we have been able to find out, this was introduced in IE5 and has never worked properly. Specifically Macs running IE5 do not support it, and PCs running IE5 or above can rarely display the icon. Our servers are configured for favicon but it seems 90% of browsers are unable to display the icon. Please address any support calls for this issue to Microsoft or the producer of your browser. When you visit your Domain Name from the web via HTTP, you are actually visiting a file called index.asp. This file handles the URL masking and redirection to another website. If you advertise your Domain Name with another file name (for example http://www.mydomainname.com/thisorthat.htm) the file will not be on our server and therefore a 404 error will be generated. |
